The Gas Turbine Fuel Systems Division at Parker Aerospace focuses on being the global leader in designing, developing, manufacturing, and servicing engine fuel, lubrication, and thermal management systems for aerospace, defense, and industrial applications. This division leverages extensive expertise in analysis, atomization, combustion, fluid metering, and control alongside enterprise excellence to exceed customer expectations and achieve its business goals.
The role of Production Supervisor on the 2nd Shift (Monday - Friday, 2:30 pm - 11:30 pm) is critical within Parker Aerospace. This position involves supervising and directing team members on the assigned shift, distributing workloads effectively, and developing personnel through tailored development plans. The Production Supervisor is expected to promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to eliminate waste, leading Lean Kaizen events, and participating in cost-reduction programs. Collaboration with engineering teams ensures smooth coordination for new product launches.
The Production Supervisor also maintains high-quality standards focused on continuous manufacturing improvement, reducing defects, and managing customer relationships through effective communication and corrective action coordination. This role requires capacity analysis skills, staffing requirement determination, productivity target attainment, and troubleshooting scheduling or material issues.
Standardizing work processes and enforcing safety protocols are also integral to this role. The supervisor conducts safety investigations and audits, addresses non-compliance, and maintains the operational showcase. Job Requirements
- B.A. /B.S. degree in a related technical or business discipline
- 4+ years of directly related experience
- Proven ability to perform in the role and obtain results
- Practical knowledge of manufacturing processes or quality/operations support
- Familiarity with applicable information systems such as MRP
- Knowledge of business and government regulations related to manufacturing and safety
- Strong teamwork and team building skills
- Ability to develop individuals and teams
- Experience with data reporting tools
- Experience with MS Power Apps, Forms, Power Automate
Job Qualifications
- B.A. /B.S. degree in a related technical or business discipline and 4+ years of directly related experience
- Demonstrated ability to perform in the described role and responsibilities and obtain desired results
- Substantial practical knowledge and understanding of products, manufacturing processes, or specialty areas in quality or operations support including applicable information systems and reports (e.g., MRP or other planning/execution systems)
- General knowledge of business and government regulations (e.g., manufacturing specifications, FAA, safety)
- Demonstrated teamwork and team building skills in producing results and meeting organizational objectives
- Capable of assessing and developing individual and team skills and capabilities
- Able to create and maintain enthusiasm for new and challenging goals
- Serve as a role model by promoting new ideas and positive change
- Proven experience with data reporting tools such as WebFocus
- Experience with MS Power Apps, Forms, Power Automate
Job Duties
- Supervise and direct work activity of team members on the designated shift
- Distribute workload appropriately
- Motivate and empower team members
- Develop team members including constructing and executing development plans
- Work with team members to identify continuous improvement opportunities
- Constantly identify and eliminate waste in assigned departments
- Champion Lean Kaizen events to identify cost and time savings
- Participate in cost-reduction programs
- Coordinate new product launches with Engineering
- Ensure quality standards are met focusing on continuous improvement to improve manufacturing capability and reduce rework and scrap
- Contain source of quality issues
- Communicate with customers and establish effective relationships
- Coordinate corrective action activities
- Perform capacity analysis using build plans
- Determine staffing requirements for the assigned production area
- Ensure departmental productivity targets are met to meet customer requirements
- Troubleshoot scheduling and material issues
- Develop and deploy standardized work instructions of assigned departments
- Ensure process stability through following standardized work
- Promote and enforce compliance of safety policies and procedures
- Conduct safety investigations and audits
- Address safety non-compliance
- Maintain Operation Showcase
