The role of Savory Cook I at Starbucks Reserve Kitchen is an integral position focused on food preparation and culinary production. This position is responsible for organizing and executing savory food preparation in large quantities while maintaining high standards of quality and sanitation. Working collaboratively with the Savory Cook team and leadership, the Savory Cook I helps ensure efficient and timely food production, scales recipes accurately, maintains food safety protocols, and supports sanitation procedures within the kitchen. This role demands a detail-oriented individual with a passion for culinary arts, competent knife skills, and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced professional kitchen environment.

Job Requirements
- 1+ years culinary production in a professional kitchen – commercial a plus
- Ability to work on your feet for long periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry 35lbs on a consistent basis and up to 55lbs occasionally
- Ability to adhere to strict personal hygiene and standards of dress consistent with policy
- Attention to detail
- Passion for learning culinary arts
- Competent knife skills
- Data entry
- Basic working knowledge of computers
- Basic math and English skills
Job Qualifications
- 1+ years culinary production in a professional kitchen – commercial a plus
- Current Health Code Certification (preferred)
- Ability to work on your feet for long periods of time

Job Duties
- Preparation of savory food according to prescribed recipes
- Assists the Savory team in the organization and execution of timely food production
- Assists with sanitation, food safety and related production activities
- Cleans and maintains work areas, utensils and equipment
- Maintains date lot tracking sheets and HACCP temp logs
- Scaling recipes for production
- familiar with using gram/kilogram scales and units of measure
- Performs other duties as assigned by their leader in support of the kitchen
