The Production Planner role at Getinge is pivotal in aligning manufacturing operations with sales requirements to ensure a streamlined and efficient production process. This position centers around initiating and managing production schedules for various product lines, ensuring timely delivery and meeting demand forecasts accurately. Working as a Production Planner requires close collaboration across multiple departments including Planning, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Sales to establish seamless communication and collaboratively solve production challenges. The Production Planner actively leads biweekly production meetings to review schedules, address issues, and implement corrective actions to mitigate potential disruptions.
A key responsibility includes utilizing the Visibility Materials Requirements Package Planning (MRP) and Master Production Scheduling (MPS) software packages to coordinate component purchasing and manage production based on accurate sales forecasts. The role requires a keen ability to anticipate production floor issues such as material shortages, proactively taking corrective action to prevent downtime and optimize resource allocation. The planner also transforms general sales forecasts into detailed, part-specific plans that integrate with the Visibility system, ensuring efficient procurement and production flow.
Tracking production performance and reporting findings to management is an essential aspect of this position, enabling informed decision-making and continuous process improvement. The Production Planner contributes to special projects and related duties as requested, supporting Getinge's commitment to operational excellence. This role is suited for a self-motivated professional with strong analytical skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and the capacity to operate independently in a multi-tasking environment.
With a salary range of $70,000 to $95,000 annually, this is an in-person position that offers a supportive work environment prioritizing environmental consciousness and safe practices within an office setting. Getinge encourages growth and development throughout its diverse teams and values employees who are passionate about making a real difference in healthcare technology.
