Job Description
The Marwin Company is a reputable manufacturer of premium building products located in West Columbia, South Carolina, with a long history dating back to 1947. Specializing in code-compliant folding attic stairways, innovative attic access solutions, and pocket door frames, Marwin has established itself as a trusted provider of interior French and louver doors. Known for delivering superior quality, on-time shipments, and exceptional customer service nationwide, including Hawaii, Marwin leads the industry in energy-saving products for the residential housing market. The company prides itself on its commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, making Marwin-made products synonymous with reliability and excellence in residential construction.
The role of Production Operator at Marwin is designed for individuals who are passionate about manufacturing high-quality building products that meet and exceed customer expectations. This position offers a competitive starting wage of $14 per hour for entry-level employees, with potential earnings up to $25 per hour based on experience and skill development. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, featuring 10-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, providing employees with a long weekend every week. Occasional mandatory overtime on Fridays and Saturdays may be required to meet production demands. New employees will receive a $500 sign-on bonus after completing their first 90 days, as a token of appreciation for their commitment.
This role is ideal for team players with a positive attitude who can contribute to a safe and supportive work environment. While prior experience in warehouse, production, or manufacturing is advantageous, it is not mandatory, as Marwin provides training for candidates willing to learn and grow. The position requires a strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality, working effectively in a fast-paced, non-climate-controlled environment with variable temperatures depending on the season. Physical demands include repetitive movements, extended periods of standing, occasional heavy lifting, and the regular use of both heavy and light hand tools. Operators must be agile and capable of bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting as part of their daily responsibilities.
At Marwin, employees are valued for their craftsmanship and dedication to producing products that adorn America’s preferred residential homes. The company’s culture is built on core values such as trust, a team-oriented approach, results-driven performance, unparalleled service, safety focus, and transformational innovation. These values guide every decision and action, ensuring a work environment that fosters collaboration, continuous improvement, and respect for safety and quality. Production Operators are encouraged to take pride in their work and aspire to deliver excellence to every customer, every time, while enjoying clear career advancement opportunities from Production Operator I to Production Operator V.
