Job Description
TTM Technologies, Inc. is a publicly traded US company listed on NASDAQ under the ticker TTMI and is recognized as one of the top-5 global manufacturers of printed circuit boards (PCBs). Headquartered in the United States, TTM specializes in advanced technology products that include mission systems, radio frequency (RF) components, RF microwave and microelectronic assemblies, and, most notably, technologically advanced printed circuit boards. The company prides itself on its ability to deliver time-to-market advantages to its customers by providing comprehensive design, engineering, and manufacturing services that help reduce the development cycle for new products. This commitment positions TTM as a leader in its industry, providing innovative solutions tailored to the needs of high-tech sectors worldwide.
TTM Technologies fosters a dynamic work environment that supports talent at every stage of their career. Whether candidates bring years of manufacturing experience or are new to the sector, TTM offers a supportive workplace designed to cultivate skill development and career growth. The company’s Operator Advancement Program, for instance, is a testament to its dedication to employee growth, providing opportunities for certified skill enhancement multiple times a year and resulting in a high promotion rate among participants.
The role of a Screening Operator at TTM is critical within the PCB manufacturing process. This position is responsible for applying a protective coating, known as soldermask, on the surface of printed circuit board panels. The soldermask selectively exposes holes and pads to enable precise solder application. Operators use both manual and automatic screening systems, such as the Printar automatic screening system, and engage in processes including screening, exposing, developing, and curing the soldermask. The Screening Operator must also conduct careful inspections to detect defects, ensure full coverage, and avoid ink contamination.
This role operates primarily on the second shift from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday, although initial training may require attendance on an alternative schedule. The Screening Operator must adhere strictly to safety and environmental standards, including regular use of safety equipment and compliance with hazardous waste regulations (RCRA). Essential skills for this position include solid math capabilities, strong attention to detail, familiarity with chemistry and electroplating processes (preferred but not mandatory), and the ability to follow detailed instructions both verbally and in writing.
Physical requirements for the role include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work in noisy environments where hearing protection is supplied, and stand for extended periods. While no prior experience is required, a high school diploma or GED is necessary, and candidates are trained on the job. Preference is given to those with prior PCB or general manufacturing experience.
TTM Technologies provides a competitive compensation package with an estimated salary range between $37,938 and $59,967, subject to geographic and individual factors. Additional compensation may include bonuses and shift premiums based on assignment. Benefits encompass a comprehensive selection of health and wellness programs designed to support employees’ well-being, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k) plans, and paid time off. Benefits eligibility begins on the first of the month following the date of hire.
TTM is committed to compliance with all applicable export control laws such as ITAR, EAR, and OFAC, ensuring careful control of restricted products and technology. The company promotes an inclusive workplace where all qualified applicants receive equal consideration regardless of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, citizenship, disability, or veteran status. Joining TTM Technologies means becoming part of a progressive company that values innovation, employee development, and rigorous quality standards in advancing global technology manufacturing.
