The Production Operator I position at H.B. Fuller located in Vancouver, WA, offers an exciting opportunity to join the production team on the 3rd shift from 10pm to 6:30am. This full-time role reports directly to the Production Manager or Supervisor and involves operating specialized equipment and managing affiliated processes such as preparing raw materials, packaging, unloading, packing, and labeling in compliance with company standards and legal requirements. The Production Operator plays a critical role in ensuring that products meet the highest quality standards by performing initial product testing and equipment monitoring to maintain process consistency and efficiency. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to health and safety rules, and active collaboration with team members.

This position requires the operator to prepare raw materials and packaging components in the correct quantities, transport them to the production area, and report any deviations from the normal processes. Additionally, the operator will check product labels and packaging materials, ensuring compliance with its prescribed instructions and company standards. Completing assigned tasks includes packaging the final products according to H.B. Fuller's quality criteria and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the assigned work area. Flexibility to work night shifts and maintain a safe operational environment are essential for success in this role.

The salary for this position starts at $22.43 per hour with an additional $1.50 shift differential for the third shift. H.B. Job Requirements

  • Basic educational degree or high school diploma or general education diploma
  • One year experience in industrial environment
  • Knowledge of common software programs such as MS Office
  • Ability to read and understand work orders, production processes, safety regulations, and quality procedures and instructions
  • Availability to work in shifts
  • Understanding of basic English

Job Duties

  • Preparation of raw materials and packaging
  • Operating processing equipment in line with process instructions and procedures
  • Monitor equipment, keeping processes running at desired run rates
  • Complete the initial testing and release of products in order to ensure that there are no deviations to specifications
  • Check labels and packaging material, ensure correct labeling following the existing rules and instructions
  • Packaging the final products in accordance with instructions and quality standards
  • Carry out all operations in compliance with expected quality standards and operating procedures
  • Responsible for housekeeping in the area of responsibility
  • Carry out any other duties requested from the Production Manager or Supervisor
