The role of the Mixer at Napoleon Bakery is critical to the daily production process. Job Requirements
- flexible, available any shift any day
- able to lift 25 to 50 pounds
- able to stand for the entire shift
- able to do simple math including addition, subtraction, multiplication and simple fractions
- good planning and organizational skills
- must pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- must have passed a TB test dated within 12 months of hire or dated at age 16 or older
- able to work in hot and cold environments including ambient temperatures up to the 100s, air conditioned rooms as low as 50 degrees, and walk-in chills and freezers down to minus 10 degrees
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous bakery experience and dough mixing experience required
- ability to operate various bakery mixers
- skillful in preparing different cake batters, yeast products, short doughs, fancy pastry goods, laminated doughs
- adaptable and able to accept direction
- team player with positive attitude
- able to work with people at various skill levels
- able to communicate with people at all levels
- able to teach, guide and coach others
- team contributor who communicates needs and makes suggestions to better processes
Job Duties
- operate various bakery equipment such as large mixers and reversible sheeter in a safe and efficient manner
- mix various types of batters and doughs including laminated doughs and chiffon batters
- execute efficient, high quality and timely production of items
- troubleshoot quality issues or concerns during production
- train new team members
- work with minimum supervision
- assist in other production positions as needed such as oven or bread bench
