Palm Beach Atlantic University is a private Christian university located in West Palm Beach, Florida. It is committed to providing a high-quality liberal arts education in a Christ-centered community. The university offers various undergraduate and graduate programs that emphasize academic excellence, character development, and spiritual growth. Its College of the Arts is dedicated to fostering creativity and artistic expression through its diverse range of programs in dance and music. The dance and music departments strive to provide students with both a rigorous artistic curriculum and a supportive community to help them grow as performers, educators, and leaders. These programs are accredited by the National Association of Schools of Dance (NASD) and the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM), ensuring high standards of academic and artistic quality.
The Production Manager for Dance and Music plays a vital role within the College of the Arts at Palm Beach Atlantic University. This management position is responsible for providing comprehensive production management, administrative support, and operational assistance specifically tailored to the Dance and Music programs. The role includes overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of a wide variety of artistic events such as performances, concerts, recitals, festivals, guest artist residencies, and other special events. By efficiently managing resources, communication, and logistics, the Production Manager ensures a seamless and professional experience that enhances the educational mission of the university. This includes managing travel and accommodations for guest artists, coordinating the movement and setup of production equipment, producing event programs, and handling financial processes such as purchase orders and budgeting.
Additionally, this position offers critical support to the departmental chairs by managing calendars, facilitating data collection for accreditation, maintaining detailed academic records, and assisting with faculty and student participation in external events. The Production Manager also supports recruitment and daily departmental operations, ensuring that supplies, equipment, and facilities are available and properly managed. The role calls for someone who is adaptable, detail-oriented, and possesses a strong sense of professionalism and customer service, along with the technical and organizational skills necessary to manage complex projects and budgets. This position requires collaboration with multiple stakeholders across the campus and an understanding of higher education culture.
This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with a background in dance, music, arts management, or event production to join a vibrant university community that values Christian faith, academic excellence, and creative expression. Employment type and salary details are based on university policies, typically reflective of higher education staff positions. Prospective candidates should be prepared to work flexible hours when required during peak event seasons and to perform duties that support both the artistic vision and operational efficiency of the departments. The position contributes significantly to enriching the student experience by enabling artistic events that showcase talent and foster community engagement, consistent with Palm Beach Atlantic University’s mission to equip students to grow in wisdom, lead with conviction, and serve God boldly.
