The role of Production Manager - Concerts & Show Operations at ATG-Entertainment is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage the execution of concerts and live events at some of their key venues, primarily the Saenger Theatre with secondary support responsibilities at the Mahalia Jackson Theatre. This position reports directly to the Production Director and involves comprehensive oversight from the advance planning stages through to load-out operations. Production Managers hold a pivotal client-facing role, requiring a mix of leadership, operational coordination, and real-time problem-solving skills.

In this role, the Production Manager is responsible for advancing concerts, acting as the primary contact for touring productions and ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of live shows. This includes leading show run operations with a strong emphasis on on-the-spot decision-making to address any challenges that arise during load-ins, performances, and load-outs. The position requires collaborating closely with various crews, labor teams, security personnel, and catering services, as well as managing requisitions and supplies to maintain seamless show operations.

The Production Manager plays a vital role in coordinating logistics such as labor calls, security arrangements, and hospitality needs, working closely with the Production Director to ensure all aspects of the event meet the highest standards. The job demands flexibility, including participation in rotating coverage for nights, shows, and load-outs, demonstrating the need for adaptability and commitment in a dynamic, live event environment.

Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 3 years of experience in live event production or a related field
  • ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • strong organizational skills
  • excellent interpersonal skills
  • willingness to work irregular hours including nights and weekends
  • physical ability to be on-site for long durations during events
