As a Production Manager at RHI Magnesita’s manufacturing facility in Greensboro, you will assume a pivotal leadership role aimed at driving operational excellence. This full-time, salaried position requires a hands-on leader capable of overseeing safe and cost-effective production operations, including functions such as shipping, maintenance, and quality assurance. The role entails managing production scheduling, monitoring performance metrics like scrap rates and productivity, and ensuring compliance with both company safety standards and OSHA regulations to maintain a strong workplace safety culture. Collaborating closely with various departments—including Quality Assurance, Sales, and Corporate stakeholders—you will address customer requirements and resolve operational challenges to optimize plant performance.

A key responsibility of the Production Manager is to lead continuous improvement initiatives through Lean Manufacturing principles, aiming to enhance efficiency and overall resource effectiveness. You will partner with the Maintenance Manager to prioritize equipment repairs and preventive maintenance, ensuring high reliability and minimized downtime. Additionally, this role involves coaching and mentoring supervisors and hourly team members, driving employee development, and establishing accountability for quality, productivity, cost control, and operational excellence throughout the facility. The ideal candidate is an experienced manufacturing professional with strong leadership skills, critical thinking, and proficiency in relevant software systems.
