The Production Manager role at Greenheck Group is a critical leadership position responsible for providing daily direction to optimize productivity through strategic staffing, equipment management, and resource allocation. Job Requirements

  • 6-8 years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 6-8 years of relevant work experience in a supervisory or managerial role

Job Duties

  • Direct supervision of hourly production employees and other supervisors or manufacturing support roles
  • Planning, monitoring, executing, and communicating daily, monthly, and annual production goals
  • Assisting and providing input for the sales and operations plan to meet financial targets and customer service objectives
  • Coordinating activities among internal departments affecting production process such as scheduling, engineering, shipping, inventory control, sales, and purchasing
  • Monitoring daily variance to plan and implementing capacity adjustments including overtime and capital investments
  • Leading value streams and production areas through continuous improvement projects to enhance productivity and efficiency
  • Defining procedures with material specialists to ensure proper inventory management
  • Ensuring proper maintenance and optimal performance of production machinery and equipment
  • Maintaining work areas to meet or exceed company 5S and safety standards
  • Participating in root cause analysis on safety incidents to prevent reoccurring issues
  • Identifying and leading activities that improve key performance indicators, safety culture, and team member relations
  • Encouraging continuous improvement of productivity through labor planning, lean manufacturing principles, and materials planning
  • Developing cross-training plans and promoting ongoing team member development
  • Meeting or exceeding customer service expectations including quality and on-time shipping
  • Maintaining knowledge of labor agreements, regional labor policies, and government regulations
  • Participating in labor agreement negotiations where applicable
  • Providing input to manufacturing engineering to improve productivity including plant layout and work methods
  • Supporting corporate maintenance initiatives
  • Representing manufacturing during tours, interviews, and vendor engagements
