The Production Line Operator position is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity that presents an excellent chance for individuals looking to build a long-term career within a highly respected industry. In this role, the Production Line Operator will be responsible for cleaning and preparing castings using chemical baths, rinses, and drying ovens. They will also be expected to test and maintain chemical tanks to ensure that chemical levels remain within prescribed specifications. Safe handling of castings with the help of hoists, tumblers, and manual tools is critical, as is applying fluorescent penetrants to prepare parts for inspection. The role further involves completing basic documentation related to production processes and maintaining cleanliness of the work area to adhere to workplace safety and quality standards. To be successful, candidates must be comfortable working with chemicals and industrial equipment, have the physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and wear appropriate personal protective equipment such as steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and hearing protection. The minimum educational requirement is a high school diploma or GED, supplemented by basic math and reading comprehension skills necessary to understand and follow operating procedures effectively.
