The role is primarily responsible for supervising and guiding the Kitchen Operators team in the assigned production area to optimize efficiency and maintain quality standards. Functioning as a first-shift role, Sunday through Thursday from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm with occasional Friday overtime, the Bone Room Lead plays a crucial part in ensuring smooth daily operations and achieving production targets.\n\nAs the lead, the individual will assign tasks, train new operators, maintain production documentation, and drive team performance by setting high standards and leading by example. This role also supports the supervisor and acts as a backup, making it essential for the candidate to be dependable, detail-oriented, and able to foster a positive and collaborative team atmosphere. Collaborative work with support functions will be necessary to fine-tune processes, implement continuous improvements, and ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and environmental protocols. Familiarity with operating pallet jacks and forklifts is advantageous, alongside experience working in temperature-controlled environments with perishable items.\n\nCandidates should possess at least a high school diploma or GED and bring previous team leadership experience in a manufacturing setting. Bilingual skills in Spanish and forklift competency are considered pluses. The role demands a professional demeanor, energy, and the ability to maintain good relations among diverse personalities. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 1 year experience as a team leader in manufacturing
  • Experience in temperature-controlled and perishable product environments
  • Knowledge of food safety protocols
  • Ability to operate pallet jack and forklift
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
  • Ability to work first shift Sunday-Thursday 6:30am to 3:00pm with occasional overtime on Fridays

Job Duties

  • Lead team members and assign kettles accordingly
  • Train new operators on products and processes
  • Ensure paperwork and all records are documented and completed appropriately
  • Responsible for daily management and support for the team to achieve operational success
  • Set high standards through personal example and reinforce them across the team
  • Assist supervisor as needed
  • Back-up operators as needed
  • Ensure the team are aware of day-to-day targets and responsibilities
  • Collaborate with support functions to define processes, procedures, and controls
  • Provide support and input to continuous improvement activities
  • Verify correct ingredients in measurements and weight to assemble formulas
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
  • Operate pallet jack and occasionally forklift
  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, safety rules, food safety procedures, environmental protocols, and sanitation procedures
