The Production Kitchen Cook 3 role is a critical position that demands advanced culinary skills and a strong commitment to maintaining food quality standards. Starting at $19.55 per hour, this role requires flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays, to meet business needs and ensure smooth kitchen operations. As a Production Kitchen Cook 3, you will perform intermediate to advanced food preparation and cooking duties, such as grilling, steaming, and roasting food items. In addition to cooking, you will work in various kitchen sections like the butcher shop, cook/chill area, and garde manger, gaining valuable experience and knowledge.

This role involves maintaining a safe, sanitary, and organized kitchen environment, working closely with kitchen stewards. You will also be responsible for using and cleaning kitchen surfaces and equipment safely, including ovens, grills, fryers, broilers, and knives. Assisting with opening and closing duties, training team members, and managing inventory by storing and rotating supplies are essential components of this job. The position encourages cross-training by working in different kitchen venues to support advanced food preparation and promote professional growth.

Compliance with departmental internal controls, policies, procedures, and regulations is mandatory to maintain operational integrity and safety standards. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • one year of related experience required
  • ability to achieve ServSafe certification within 90 days
  • ability to complete Culinary Academy within 12 months
  • ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts including late nights early mornings weekends and holidays
  • physical ability to perform tasks requiring prolonged standing walking climbing stooping kneeling crouching and lifting up to 50 pounds
  • ability to maintain discretion and interact professionally with guests and team members

Job Qualifications

  • advanced cooking skills
  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • one year of related experience
  • ability to achieve ServSafe certification within 90 days

  • basic math skills including adding subtracting multiplying dividing and counting using whole numbers and fractions
  • discretion in handling confidential information
  • ability to interact with guests and team members professionally
  • ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts including late nights early mornings weekends and holidays
  • physical ability to talk hear stand walk climb balance stoop kneel crouch and move for prolonged periods
  • ability to use hands to handle objects tools or controls and reach with hands and arms
  • ability to lift or move objects up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • specific vision abilities including close color distance peripheral depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Job Duties

  • perform intermediate to advanced food preparation and cooking duties including grilling steaming and roasting foods and working in the butcher shop cook chill area and garde manger
  • use and clean kitchen surfaces equipment and utensils safely including ovens grills fryers broilers and knives
  • maintain a safe sanitary and organized working environment working closely with stewards at all times
  • assist in training other members of the culinary team
  • assist in storing and rotating all inventories as needed
  • perform opening and closing duties as needed
  • work in different venues kitchens as assigned based on business needs to gain knowledge and assist with advanced food preparation
