Job Description
Think True is a minority-owned experiential marketing agency dedicated to creating impactful brand experiences by placing the individual who interacts with the brand at the center of every strategy. Their mission centers around building community impact through sports, entertainment, and culture, serving as a vital partner for leading companies looking to elevate their brand presence in meaningful ways. The agency prides itself on its authentic and rich culture empowered by its people, fostering a creative, collaborative environment where innovation and dedication thrive. By forging strong relationships with clients and focusing on delivering high-quality, memorable marketing activations, Think True continually pushes the boundaries of experiential marketing excellence.
The Production Director at Think True holds a pivotal leadership role responsible for managing all elements of production across multiple projects and events from inception through execution. This position requires a seasoned professional who can direct internal production teams, external vendors, and suppliers while ensuring alignment with approved production scopes and client objectives. The director’s responsibilities include overseeing concept development, conducting feasibility studies, crafting comprehensive project plans, developing and managing budgets, and ensuring overall event and activation quality.
In this role, the Production Director leads multiple projects simultaneously at various stages of activation, working closely with internal teams—such as production, account management, creative, strategy, and technology—and external stakeholders. The individual is accountable for direct communications, managing documentation, timelines, operational plans, staffing, budgeting, and contingency planning to ensure smooth project delivery within defined scopes of work. This leadership position demands exceptional organizational skills, a robust client-service orientation, and a deep understanding of experiential marketing production procedures.
Think True seeks a Production Director with 8 to 10 years of experience in producing and managing large experiential programs and events, ideally with agency experience. Expertise in managing large budgets, coordinating complex activations involving multiple fabricators and vendors, and handling specialized areas such as audio/video/lighting, mobile tours, and live events is essential. The ideal candidate will bring a strong entrepreneurial mindset, excellent communication and leadership skills, and a broad network of production professionals. Furthermore, they must exhibit a capacity to work in fast-paced, dynamic environments with a high degree of collaboration and flexibility.
This position offers an annual salary range of $110,000 to $147,500, reflective of experience and skills, along with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance; employer-paid life and personal accident insurance; profit-sharing/bonus plans; 401(k); flexible spending accounts; and paid time off. The position is based in the Los Angeles area, requires some travel up to 50%, and supports a hybrid work environment. Think True is committed to equal employment opportunities and fostering a diverse workplace where every individual is valued and respected.
