Job Qualifications
- Basic kitchen skills with strong knife skills and familiarity with food production
- Experience in a food-safe environment is a plus such as FDA, HACCP, SQF, USDA, PCQI certifications
- Basic English comprehension for understanding paperwork
- Ability to work as a team player and willingness to cross-train
- Reliable and hardworking attitude with a readiness to learn
- At least one year of experience in food production, commercial kitchen, or similar environment preferred
- Physical ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable standing, bending, and moving for 8+ hour shifts
- Ability to work in hot and cold environments including kitchens, warehouses, and walk-in coolers
Job Duties
- Follow recipes and written procedures to prepare meals accurately and safely
- Work with industrial cooking equipment including skillets, kettles, and ovens
- Manually mix ingredients and handle large batches of food
- Assist with packaging and production operations as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices and food safety protocols
- Report any food safety or quality concerns to appropriate personnel
- Perform other duties as assigned
