Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
  • 0 to 2 years of related work experience
  • Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Good working knowledge of food preparation
  • Requires familiarity of kitchen equipment
  • Must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised

Job Duties

  • Prepare food in accordance with current applicable federal, state and corporate standards, guidelines, and regulations
  • Follow basic recipes and/or product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving, and serving soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other foodstuffs
  • Taste products, read menus, estimate food requirements, check production, and keep records to accurately plan production requirements and requisition supplies and equipment
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation ensuring food safety and sanitation standards
  • Support teamwork within the kitchen to ensure efficient operation and high-quality food delivery
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Perform physical duties including walking, standing for extended periods, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Adapt to additional duties as assigned based on business needs and client requirements
