Daily responsibilities include opening the kitchen, preparing and warming turkey proteins and soul food sides according to established recipes and standards, monitoring food quality, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. - Prior experience in a commercial or restaurant kitchen
- ability to work independently and stay on task without constant supervision
- reliable
- comfortable working morning shifts starting at 8:00 AM
- knowledge of basic food safety practices
- able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs

- preferred ServSafe Food Handler certification or willingness to obtain

Job Duties
- Open the kitchen and prepare the space for service each morning
- warm, prep, and portion turkey proteins and soul food sides following Jive Turkey recipes and standards
- maintain proper food temperatures and storage protocols throughout the shift
- keep the kitchen clean, organized, and stocked during service
- monitor food quality before it goes to customers
- support to-go order fulfillment during peak hours
- communicate low inventory or supply needs to the manager
- follow all food safety, sanitation, and health code requirements
- learn new menu items as the Gratiot menu develops
