- knowledge of basic kitchen equipment operation and food-handling procedures
- ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- good knowledge of food preparation
- familiarity with kitchen tools and equipment
- ability to read and follow recipes independently

Job Duties
- Prepare food in accordance with applicable federal, state and corporate standards
- follow basic recipes and product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving, and serving food items
- taste products, read menus, estimate food requirements, check production, and keep records to plan production and requisition supplies
- maintain a clean and organized workstation
- walk or stand for extended periods during shifts
- safely lift and move up to 50 pounds as required
