Job Description
The hiring company is a leading manufacturer specializing in plastic recycling bins with a rich history spanning over 100 years. As a privately owned and employee-focused business, they prioritize their workforce by offering profit sharing and a variety of employee benefits, including paid schooling, demonstrating their commitment to employee growth and development. The company has recently expanded by opening a state-of-the-art facility in Buckeye, AZ, creating multiple job opportunities across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift teams. This expansion highlights the company’s growth and dedication to increasing its production capabilities in the recycling sector, an industry vital to environmental sustainability.
The Production Associate role is an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to gain or expand their experience in manufacturing and warehouse operations. These positions are temp-to-hire, allowing candidates to prove their skills and fit within the company culture with the potential of becoming permanent employees. Pay rates vary slightly depending on the shift, ranging from $18 to $18.50 per hour, reflective of the company’s competitive compensation standards in the manufacturing industry.
Production Associates will be engaged in a variety of hands-on tasks essential to maintaining product quality and workflow efficiency. Responsibilities include stacking products and safely transporting them using dollies, utilizing hand tools such as scrapers and hand torches to smooth out product edges, and conducting thorough visual inspections to ensure products meet customer specifications. Employees are also expected to be proactive in reporting any quality issues related to products or machinery, thereby playing a key role in upholding high manufacturing standards.
Work schedules rotate and include weekends, with shifts available across day, afternoon, and overnight hours, which offers flexibility for employees with diverse availability. The company also takes pride in being a second chance employer, welcoming individuals who may have experienced barriers to employment, and supports an inclusive work environment.
Located in Buckeye, AZ, the facility is not accessible by bus, so reliable transportation is important. The company provides comprehensive benefits to its temporary and temp-to-hire employees, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, short-term disability insurance, term life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance, identity theft protection, prescription plans, and a 401K retirement savings plan. These benefits underscore the company's dedication to supporting the well-being and financial security of its workforce.
In summary, this Production Associate position offers a rewarding chance to join a historic, expanding leader in the plastic recycling industry. Employees gain valuable manufacturing experience in a supportive environment, enjoy competitive pay, and access a wide range of benefits. This role is ideal for motivated individuals ready to contribute to an environmentally conscious manufacturing company with a strong emphasis on employee development and inclusion.
