Eaton is a global technology leader in power management solutions, dedicated to improving the quality of life and the environment through the use of power management technologies and services. Eaton's ES AMER ESS division specializes in the design and production of critical power distribution products that serve essential sectors, ensuring reliable and efficient electrical power delivery. Recognized for its commitment to innovation, quality, and safety, Eaton equips customers with advanced products and customized solutions designed to meet their specific requirements. The company fosters a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence, supporting employee development and delivering strong corporate values worldwide.
Currently, Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is seeking a Production Assembler for the 1st shift. This role is a full-time opportunity with a work schedule from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM, providing a consistent 40-hour workweek with potential overtime availability. The position offers a competitive hourly rate starting at $23.40 per hour, though compensation may vary based on the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business factors. Full benefits and enrollment in a 401(k) plan are available from the first day of employment, reflecting Eaton’s commitment to employee well-being and financial security.
The Production Assembler will be responsible for the precise and efficient assembly of power distribution units (PDUs) and transformers, involving complex and repetitive wiring and mechanical tasks. This role requires adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and the use of various hand and power tools, fixtures, and gauges to ensure the assembly meets stringent customer specifications and quality standards. Responsibilities also include operating equipment such as cranes, ovens, and VPI tanks, performing visual inspections for material quality before and after assembly, and executing point-to-point wiring during assembly processes.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures within a manufacturing environment. This role involves repetitive physical activities such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods, making physical fitness and stamina essential to perform daily tasks safely and effectively. The ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, standard operating procedures, and bills of material is crucial. The Production Assembler will also contribute to environment, health, and safety compliance and suggest process and safety improvements.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to join a reputable global company with a stable work environment and career advancement potential. The company also supports second chance employment policies. Candidates ready to contribute to a dynamic team focused on quality manufacture and innovative power solutions will find this role fulfilling and rewarding.
