Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- prior retail or produce experience desired
- ability to work primetime hours (3 PM to 7 PM Monday-Friday, 11 AM to 7 PM weekends)
- strong leadership and communication skills
- ability to manage stressful situations calmly
- proficiency with basic math
- capacity to train and develop a team
- ability to follow safety protocols and adhere to laws
- physically able to perform job functions

Job Duties
- Provide leadership support and direction during primetime hours
- partner with store and department leaders to develop a high-performance culture
- promote trust and respect among associates with a positive attitude
- communicate company, department, and job specific information to associates
- establish department performance goals and empower associates to meet or exceed targets through teamwork
- ensure orders are put up in a timely manner, work backstock, rotate product and replenish shelves throughout the day
- train and develop associates on job performance and participate in performance appraisals
- create a welcoming environment for customers, respond to questions, make suggestions, and locate products
- inform customers of produce specials and offer product samples
- ensure merchandising standards are followed and inspect products for quality and freshness
- create and execute sales promotions with store management
- inform associates about current and upcoming promotions
- ensure daily execution of in-stock behaviors
- implement period promotional plans for the department
- maintain product freshness and cleanliness through hourly conditioning
- ensure clean backroom and prep areas following 5s practices
- execute a good close to achieve morning readiness
- organize inventory process, monitor stocking conditions, and train associates on inventory and CAO
- maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers and record temperature logs
- reinforce safety programs, identify unsafe conditions, and report necessary repairs
- report all safety risks, illegal activities including robbery and theft
- adhere to all local, state, and federal laws and company guidelines
- perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
