Job Requirements

  • No prior retail experience required
  • must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • able to stand or walk for 6 to 8 hours during an 8-hour workday
  • hand use including single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling
  • able to perform motions such as bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching
  • exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals
  • able to work in temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit
  • able to work in wet and dry conditions
  • flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to use tools and equipment such as knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
  • may require the use of ladders
  • ability to arrive on time, be appropriately groomed and dressed, and ready to work
  • willingness to attend required trainings and meetings

Job Duties

  • Ensure fresh and appealing product displays by cleaning cases and shelves and front-facing products
  • assist team leader in organizing and displaying volume and seasonal produce items
  • monitor and prevent spoilage while communicating waste to buyers and supervisors
  • complete spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets as required
  • assist with periodic inventory checks
  • provide excellent customer service and address customer needs promptly
  • maximize sales potential through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising of produce
  • follow and comply with Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices
  • maintain a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment
  • perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned
  • immediately report safety hazards and violations
  • perform other duties as assigned by store, regional, or national leadership
