Job Requirements
- No prior retail experience required
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for 6-8 hours during an 8-hour work day
- Ability to use single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling skills with hands
- Capability to perform motions including bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching
- Ability to work in wet and dry conditions and exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals
- Capacity to work around temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to use tools and equipment such as knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery
- May require use of ladders

- Thorough product knowledge
- Capable of accessing information about market conditions and communicating it to customers
- Understand spoilage and supply waste effects on department profits
- Working knowledge and application of merchandising expectations within the department

Job Duties
- Cut fruits and vegetables following all safety and sanitation rules
- Ensure product meets Whole Foods Market quality and preparation guidelines
- Maintain sampling program
- Clean department continuously and maintain sweep logs
- Arrive to work station on time, appropriately groomed and dressed, work all scheduled shifts and attend required trainings and meetings
- Provide excellent customer service, address customer needs in a timely manner, model suggestive selling techniques, answer phones and pages courteously
- Maximize sales potential through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising of product
- Follow and ensure compliance with established procedures including weights and measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices
- Maintain a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment and ensure equipment cleanliness and safety
- Perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned, ensure accuracy of signs and pricing
- Immediately report safety hazards and violations
- Perform other duties as assigned by store, regional, or national leadership
