The company prides itself on fostering a dynamic and inclusive work environment that encourages growth, innovation, and collaboration among its associates. With a commitment to community and sustainability, Sam's Club continually advances its offerings to meet evolving consumer needs and preferences.

The opening of a new Sam's Club location in Visalia, California, represents an exciting opportunity for professionals passionate about retail leadership and fresh produce management. The position of Produce Department Lead is integral to the success of this new store, responsible for driving sales, supervising hourly associates, and ensuring that the members receive exceptional value and quality. This role requires a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and embraces the challenge of building something new from the ground up. This leadership role emphasizes member obsession, team development, and operational excellence. The successful candidate will lead with purpose by setting clear goals, expectations, and standards for their team. They will maintain expert knowledge of fresh produce operations, including product specifications, seasonality, food safety, and quality standards. Additionally, the role demands proficiency in leveraging technology and digital tools to optimize sales, inventory, staffing, and training initiatives. As a talent ambassador, this leader will focus on coaching and developing associates to help them reach their full potential and build a strong, motivated team.

Safety, compliance, and operational efficiency are critical aspects of the Produce Department Lead's responsibilities. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, managing equipment, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards, and controlling inventory shrink are all vital to the daily operation. The role also involves creating attractive merchandise displays according to company guidelines to enhance member satisfaction and drive sales.

Sam's Club supports its employees with competitive pay, including an hourly wage range of $23.00 to $31.00, plus possible additional premiums based on schedule and performance. Comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage; financial benefits like 401(k), stock purchase options, and company-paid life insurance; generous paid time off including parental leave and family care leave; and other advantages such as short-term and long-term disability coverage, company discounts, and educational programs through Live Better U. These benefits demonstrate the company's commitment to supporting the mind, body, and wallet of every associate.

Joining Sam's Club as the Produce Department Lead in Visalia not only provides a meaningful leadership role but also places you at the forefront of creating a new destination for members to discover quality fresh products. It is a unique chance to influence store culture, operational success, and member satisfaction from the very beginning. If you are passionate about fresh produce, leadership, continuous learning, and innovation, this role offers a rewarding and impactful career path.
