Process Technology Manager - Food & Beverage (Multiple Locations)

This role is a full-time, experienced-level position based primarily in Kansas City, Missouri, with other potential locations including Wallingford, Connecticut; Madison, Wisconsin; Denver, Colorado; Atlanta, Georgia; Minneapolis/St Paul, Minnesota; and Chicago, Illinois. The position requires travel approximately 25 percent of the time. The expected annual compensation range for this position is $215,000 to $390,000, encompassing a base salary along with eligibility for a discretionary year-end incentive bonus program. This comprehensive package reflects the candidate's education, qualifications, prior work experience, and work location.

The Global Facilities Food & Beverage Process Technology Manager acts as the foremost expert in manufacturing and process technology within their designated market or submarket. This role demands strong communication abilities to work directly with clients and internal teams. The manager leads early-stage project activities including proposal development, conceptual engineering, feasibility assessments, and class 4/5 cost estimates. They also play a pivotal role in process design and technology implementation while maintaining a keen understanding of market trends to provide strategic insights to management and business development teams.

The role involves mentoring and coaching sales pursuits and capture teams while upholding process safety principles in all phases of project development. This includes applying inherently safer design concepts, risk-based decision-making, and leveraging industry-leading practices to mitigate operational risks and improve lifecycle performance. The candidate will oversee technical work, quality review processes, and ensure deliverables meet the highest standards. Professional representation is expected through active participation in conferences, technical seminars, marketing events, and thought leadership activities such as paper writing and delivering presentations.

The ideal professional will possess a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or a related field and a minimum of 13 years’ relevant experience in design engineering or consulting, with a preference for backgrounds in engineering and construction. Experience leading front-end planning, detailed design, and construction on process facility projects is highly desirable. A master’s degree is preferred along with a professional engineering license. Proficiency with process simulation tools and equipment rating software is essential.
