As a Pro Sales Associate at Behr, you will be based in a Home Depot store, acting as a specialized sales professional dedicated to serving professional painting contractors and addressing their specific requirements. Your primary role is to develop meaningful relationships with local painting professionals who trust Behr for superior products and exceptional service. By collaborating closely with the Pro Desk staff and Behr’s outside sales representatives, you will help contractors get precisely the right paint products for their jobs, including mixing paint, providing necessary tools, and ensuring a smooth, efficient shopping experience. Your ability to engage with professional customers, understand their business needs, and offer expert guidance will be key in fostering long-lasting partnerships.
This position requires a proactive and outgoing attitude combined with basic computer skills to effectively use Behr’s customer management software, Salesforce. While no prior experience in paint or sales is necessary, our comprehensive training program will equip you with the knowledge you need to succeed and grow. The role demands adaptability, as work hours will vary depending on peak selling times and may include weekends, holidays, and shifts extending until 7 p.m. at the store. If you have a bilingual advantage, especially in languages common among the contractor community, that will further enhance your ability to connect with and serve our diverse clientele.

Job Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required
- Basic computer skills to use customer management software
- Must have an outgoing personality and a positive attitude
- Ability to collaborate with team members and outside sales reps
- Willingness to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs
- No prior paint or sales experience required as training is provided

- Meet and form relationships with local professional painting contractors
- Collaborate with Behr outside sales reps and Home Depot staff to support professional customers
- Mix paint and prepare orders for quick pick up
- Maintain customer information and leads using Salesforce
- Provide exceptional customer service tailored to professional customers' needs
- Help contractors find the right tools and paint products for their projects
- Work flexible hours including weekends and holidays depending on store traffic
