As a Pro Sales Associate at Behr, you will be embedded within a Home Depot store environment, serving as a key sales specialist focused primarily on supporting professional painting contractors and meeting their specific needs. This role revolves around building meaningful and lasting relationships with local pros who rely on Behr products and services. You will work autonomously as well as collaboratively with the Home Depot Pro Desk staff and Behr’s outside sales representatives to ensure customers receive personalized, prompt, and efficient service. Your responsibilities will include greeting professional contractors, discussing their business needs, administering product orders, mixing paint, and providing relevant sundry paint tools to help contractors get back to work quickly. You will create a seamless shopping experience that embodies the essence of a top-tier paint store, making professional customers feel valued and appreciated during every interaction.
This role requires a flexible schedule, with shifts designed around peak selling times which may include weekends, holidays, and evenings up to 7 p.m. The position suits self-starters who are approachable, organized, and enthusiastic about helping customers. No prior sales or paint experience is necessary as Behr offers comprehensive training, making it an ideal opportunity for individuals launching a career in sales or the painting industry. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs occasionally
- Availability to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced retail environment
- Basic computer proficiency
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Basic computer skills including familiarity with customer relationship management software

Job Duties
- Build relationships with professional painting contractors and understand their unique needs
- Collaborate closely with Behr outside sales representatives and Home Depot Pro Desk staff
- Mix and prepare paint orders accurately and efficiently
- Utilize customer management software to enter leads and maintain client information
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing contractors’ needs and suggesting appropriate products
- Assist customers quickly to ensure minimal downtime for their projects
- Maintain a professional and helpful attitude to support a positive vendor-retailer team environment
