The company prides itself on gracious hospitality and neighborliness, creating an environment where residents feel valued and connected. Brookdale is an industry leader in clinical care and offers entertaining events and gatherings that foster social connections in group and individual settings. Extensive corporate support and a robust training program ensure that employees have the resources they need to succeed and grow.
The server role at Brookdale offers a unique opportunity to work in an environment that values professional growth and personal well-being. Servers interact with senior residents and guests, taking and delivering food orders promptly while adhering to company standards to ensure customer satisfaction. This position includes working closely with kitchen staff, assisting with bussing and resetting tables, removing dirty dishes, disposing of trash, and restocking inventory as needed. Additionally, servers perform side work duties as assigned to maintain smooth dining service operations.
Brookdale offers career advancement opportunities for servers who are interested in exploring roles such as cooks, supervisors of dining services, and receptionists. Employees can grow their careers through professional development programs and ongoing health and wellness initiatives. The company provides a full suite of health insurance, life insurance, and retirement plans that vary according to employment status, making it an attractive employer for both part-time and full-time associates. Part-time employees have access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, an associate assistance program, employee discounts, referral programs, early access to earned wages for hourly associates (outside of California), and optional voluntary benefits such as ID theft protection and pet insurance. Full-time employees benefit from paid time off, paid holidays, company-provided life insurance, adoption benefits, short and long-term disability coverage, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, optional life and dependent life insurance, additional voluntary benefits including accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity insurance, a legal plan, and tuition reimbursement.
The base pay for this role is determined by the applicant's skills and experience. Temporary associates are not eligible for benefits but can participate in the company's 401(k) program. Brookdale is committed to supporting veterans, transitioning active-duty military personnel, and military spouses by encouraging them to apply. Additionally, Brookdale offers assistance to associates pursuing U.S. citizenship by advancing naturalization application fees for qualified employees who have been with the company for at least one year.
Brookdale's work environment values work-life balance by avoiding late-night shifts and providing a supportive, drug-free workplace.
