Job Requirements
- Current, unencumbered California RN license
- Minimum 0.5 years of nursing experience preferred
- Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily
- Ability to follow policies and procedures of the facility
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and protocols
Job Qualifications
- Current licensure by the California Board of Registered Nursing
- Experience in long-term care, community health, geriatric or rehabilitative nursing desirable
- Knowledge of current State and Federal regulations
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Basic mathematical skills
- Ability to recognize and respond appropriately to emergency situations
Job Duties
- Provide quality customer service to residents, families, co-workers and vendors
- Review referrals in absence of admissions or Director of Nursing
- Coordinate and perform patient assessments and plan of care evaluations
- Assist LVN and CNA staff with their duties as needed
- Coordinate and perform treatments, medications or other nursing interventions as ordered
- Ensure adherence to emergency measures per policy and standards
- Maintain required documentation as per regulations
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and medications
- Ensure patient rights are protected
- Follow cleanliness and safety standards
- Attend mandatory in-service meetings
- Comply with all department and facility policies and procedures
