Job Description
Uline is a family-owned company and North America's leading distributor of shipping, industrial, and packaging materials. With over 9,000 employees spread across 14 locations, Uline has built a reputation for consistent growth, stability, and a commitment to excellence. The company's corporate headquarters is located at 12575 Uline Drive, Pleasant Prairie, WI 53158. Uline is recognized for maintaining a drug-free work environment, requiring all new hires to complete a pre-employment hair follicle drug screening. This full-time 12-week paid internship is based on-site, reflecting Uline's commitment to maintaining a collaborative and engaging workplace culture. Uline has been honored with the 2025 Handshake Early Talent Award, underscoring its dedication to nurturing and developing top talent. Uline invests heavily in its people, ensuring that employees have opportunities for professional growth and advancement within the company.
The Private Label Design Internship at Uline is an exceptional opportunity for Junior-status students pursuing a Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related fields to gain hands-on experience in a real-world corporate environment. Interns will actively contribute to developing Uline's Private Label brand by designing product packaging, instruction sheets, and parts diagrams. This role requires detailed collaboration across various internal departments and external vendors, fostering a comprehensive understanding of the product development and branding process. Interns will also be tasked with reviewing and approving artwork proofs for Uline-branded products, creating samples, and developing artwork mockups. This role provides exposure to cutting-edge design tools, including Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
Uline emphasizes not just skills development but also professional networking and mentorship by assigning each intern a dedicated mentor. In addition, Uline supports out-of-town interns with complementary housing arrangements near the headquarters, facilitating a seamless and engaging summer internship experience. Interns benefit from a positive and collaborative on-site work environment enriched with perks such as "Lunch and Learn" sessions to expand business and industry knowledge, exciting outings and networking events with interns from other departments, and access to an on-site cafe where meals are prepared fresh by executive chefs. The corporate office also features a first-class fitness center with amenities like a sauna and walking trails, promoting well-being and a balanced lifestyle. The internship pays competitively, offering an attractive pathway to potentially join Uline full-time upon graduation. Uline’s commitment to career growth, employee wellness, and skill development makes this internship a standout opportunity for aspiring graphic designers looking to build a strong professional foundation while contributing meaningfully to a respected and growing company.
