Job Description

DigiStream Investigations is a rapidly expanding national private investigation firm headquartered in Elk Grove, California, providing expert investigative services across various domains with a strong focus on worker's compensation fraud cases. Established over two decades ago, DigiStream has built a reputation for meticulous surveillance, professional integrity, and dedicated client service. The company operates in a fast-paced environment that demands sharp investigative skills and a commitment to uncovering truth and providing accurate evidence to its clientele. As a company, DigiStream values autonomy, adventure, and professional growth, offering an enriching career path for individuals passionate about investigative work, security, and law enforcement fields.

We are currently seeking a full-time Private Investigator to join our dynamic team serving the greater Sacramento, CA region. This role is far from a typical desk job; it is tailored for those with an adventurous and curious spirit who thrive on excitement and purpose. The Private Investigator position involves conducting covert investigations focusing mainly on fraudulent worker’s compensation claims, requiring persistent observation, strategic planning, and precise execution. The role offers a unique blend of fieldwork and report writing, allowing for a diverse daily routine involving surveillance, pursuit, and evidence collection. Working hours average between 40 to 55 per week, typically encompassing 10 to 11-hour days dependent on travel to assignments. Employees utilize company-provided vehicles and equipment and are compensated for travel time, including commutes, which is paid time and a half for driving home.

As a Private Investigator at DigiStream Investigations, you will gain invaluable experience and firsthand exposure to the world of investigative work that could lead you into various career paths such as law enforcement, federal agencies, legal professions, corporate security, or journalism. DigiStream distinguishes itself from other investigation firms by providing full employee benefits, including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, along with a 401(k) retirement plan featuring a 4% company match. Employees also benefit from a professional hands-on training program developed over 20 years, company supplies including surveillance vehicles and tech equipment, and regular team-building events fostering camaraderie and a supportive work environment.

This position requires a high level of commitment, flexibility to work weekends and holidays, early start times, and the ability to travel and stay overnight for remote assignments when necessary. A high school diploma or GED and minimum age of 21 are required, and while no private investigator license is necessary initially, DigiStream supports and covers the cost of obtaining licensure. If you’re eager to take on a challenging yet rewarding career with ample opportunities for advancement, DigiStream Investigations offers a meaningful role where no two days are the same and every assignment contributes to protecting integrity within the workers’ compensation system.
