Job Description
DigiStream Investigations is a rapidly growing national private investigation firm headquartered in the United States, with a reputation for delivering thorough, professional investigative services. Operating within the security and investigative sector, DigiStream specializes in providing evidence-based support to cases involving potentially fraudulent Worker's Compensation claims. The company is committed to employing a team of dedicated professionals who are focused on delivering high-quality results to their clients, supporting legal processes with accurate and verifiable information. DigiStream is known for its innovative approach, extensive experience developed over two decades, and a commitment to employee growth, providing a unique work environment that blends technology, autonomy, and fieldwork.
The role of a Private Investigator with DigiStream Investigations in the Fresno, CA region offers an exciting and dynamic career opportunity for individuals who are adventurous, curious, and driven. Unlike typical desk jobs, this position provides an active workday filled with travel, strategic surveillance, and real-world application of investigative techniques. Employees in this role work full-time with an average workload of 45-55 hours per week, averaging about 10-11 hours per day, which includes paid commute time in company-provided vehicles such as Toyota Highlanders or Honda Odysseys. Starting pay is competitive at $20 per hour for entry-level positions, with frequent opportunities for overtime pay.
As a Private Investigator at DigiStream, you will engage in covert surveillance, monitoring subjects suspected of fraudulent activities related to workers' compensation claims. You will develop and implement pre-surveillance strategies, follow and videotape subjects in various settings from grocery stores to sports events, and maintain cover while pursuing targets on foot or by vehicle. Written reporting of observations and video evidence submission are critical components of the position. Constant communication with your team leader ensures operational success and tactical adaptability. The company's structured, professional training program spans 20 years of expertise and delivers hands-on learning experiences.
DigiStream values professional growth and offers a clear promotion track for Surveillance Investigators within the company. The environment promotes teamwork and camaraderie, supported by quarterly team-building events. The benefits package is comprehensive, including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, alongside a 401(k) retirement plan with a 4% company match. Additional perks encompass paid travel and mileage reimbursements, cellphone bill reimbursement, and modern investigative equipment to assist with your duties. This position acts as a springboard for varied career paths within law enforcement, legal fields, security, and investigative journalism.
Candidates must be ready and willing to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays, starting early as 5:00 AM with potential evening hours. A valid driver’s license, confident driving skills, and the ability to pass both a DMV and background check are required. While a PI license is not initially necessary, DigiStream covers the licensure costs and guides new hires through the licensing process. This opportunity is perfect for motivated individuals seeking a non-traditional, purpose-driven career with real-world impact and adventure earning between $50,000 and $65,000 annually due to paid commute times and paid overtime, along with full-time employee benefits.
