Job Description

DigiStream Investigations is a prominent, fast-growing private investigation firm operating on a national scale, with a commitment to delivering thorough and covert investigative services. Based in Murrieta, California, the company specializes in uncovering fraudulent claims primarily within the Worker’s Compensation arena, helping its clients defend against unfounded allegations with clear, compelling evidence. With decades of professional experience and a reputation built on precision and integrity, DigiStream is recognized for leveraging modern technology alongside traditional investigative acumen to meet the evolving needs of its clients. The company culture values adventurous, driven individuals who thrive in dynamic environments and seek more than just a conventional desk job, offering an empowered role that blends autonomy with teamwork.

The role of a Surveillance Investigator at DigiStream Investigations is ideal for those passionate about investigation and eager to be active in the field rather than confined to an office. This full-time position entails conducting covert surveillance operations that involve monitoring subjects’ day-to-day activities, often requiring significant travel within the Riverside County area and beyond. Employees will be equipped with company vehicles and state-of-the-art tools such as video cameras, laptops, and tripods to accurately capture evidence essential for legal proceedings. Working as a Surveillance Investigator is not only professionally rewarding but also provides job variety where no two days are alike. Investigators gain valuable training through a comprehensive, hands-on program developed over 20 years, positioning them for growth within the company’s unique promotion track.

Those joining DigiStream will enjoy a competitive compensation package starting at $20 per hour, with full-time staff earning between $60,000 and $65,000 annually due to paid commute and overtime opportunities. Additionally, the company offers robust employee benefits including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, along with a 401(k) retirement plan featuring up to 4 percent company match. Other perks include a fuel and maintenance card, paid travel expenses for remote assignments, cellphone bill reimbursement, and quarterly team-building events fostering a collaborative work environment.

This role requires flexibility and dedication, with investigators needing to work an average of 50 hours per week, including weekends and holidays, starting as early as 5:00 a.m. and sometimes extending into the evening. The position suits individuals who are confident drivers, able to pass DMV and background checks, and possess a willingness to travel and occasionally stay overnight for assignments. Notably, no prior private investigator license is required as DigiStream covers licensure costs and supports staff through the process.

Joining DigiStream Investigations provides a unique gateway to a career path within the investigative and law enforcement sectors. The skills and experience gained in this role can open doors to positions with the FBI, ATF, Border Patrol, state crime labs, legal fields, corporate security, or investigative journalism. With its dynamic and supportive environment, DigiStream is the place where motivated individuals can build fulfilling careers while engaging in meaningful work that makes a difference.
