Job Description
DigiStream Investigations is a rapidly expanding national private investigation firm specializing in uncovering fraudulent claims and providing critical evidence to support clients in legal and insurance matters. With a strong reputation nationwide, DigiStream operates with a commitment to integrity, professionalism, and technological advancement. The company is dedicated to delivering high-quality investigative services and prides itself on offering a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and a 401(k) retirement plan with a company match. This firm places a significant emphasis on employee development, providing hands-on training programs refined over 25 years and avenues for career growth within the investigative and security fields.
The Private Investigator role at DigiStream Investigations in the Greater East Bay Area offers a unique and dynamic career path, perfect for individuals who desire more than the typical desk job. The position appeals to those with an adventurous spirit, curiosity, and a drive to seek justice through detailed and covert investigations. Working full-time at 40-55 hours weekly, with shifts averaging 10-11 hours, investigators are compensated with a starting hourly rate of $21, plus frequent overtime and paid commute time in company vehicles. The role involves conducting covert surveillance on potentially fraudulent worker's compensation or liability claims through activities such as videotaping subjects, vehicle and foot pursuits while maintaining cover, and developing pre-surveillance strategies based on case specifics.
Investigators are expected to communicate regularly with team leaders and maintain detailed report writing on observations and evidence collection. The company supports its investigators with late-model surveillance vehicles, provided equipment including cameras, laptops, and tripods, and covers fuel and maintenance costs. The position is not only about gathering evidence but also about being part of a team with regular team-building events, professional training, and career advancement opportunities through the Investigator Promotion Track.
Candidates must reside in California and be able to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays, with flexibility to start early in the mornings and occasionally work into the evenings. The job offers a gateway to careers in law enforcement, FBI, ATF, US Border Patrol, state crime labs, legal fields, corporate investigations, and investigative journalism, highlighting the breadth of skills and experience gained. This is a rewarding position for those ready to embrace the varied and exciting nature of private investigations, enjoy autonomy, travel, and make an impact by providing crucial evidence that supports justice and fraud prevention.
