Job Description

DigiStream Investigations is a rapidly expanding, national private investigation firm headquartered in Concord, California, specializing in uncovering fraudulent claims and providing critical evidential support for various legal and insurance cases. As a leader in the private investigation sector, DigiStream combines decades of expertise with advanced investigative techniques and technology to deliver unparalleled service to its clients across multiple regions, including the Greater Bay Area. The company places a strong emphasis on integrity, professionalism, and discretion while offering a dynamic work environment for those passionate about investigative work.

The Private Investigator position at DigiStream Investigations is a compelling opportunity for individuals seeking a career beyond typical office work. This role offers an exciting blend of autonomy, travel, and the pursuit of truth, making it ideal for adventurous and curious individuals who thrive on active, hands-on investigative work. The position requires a highly motivated professional dedicated to gathering vital evidence to support cases, primarily focusing on suspected fraudulent Worker's Compensation and Liability insurance claims. As part of the role, you will employ covert surveillance techniques, monitor subjects in various public and private settings, and compile detailed reports based on your findings.

This full-time role typically involves a 40-55 hour workweek, with daily shifts averaging 10-11 hours, including travel time that is compensated as paid work hours. At DigiStream, investigators are not confined to a desk but engage in fieldwork that varies day-to-day, ensuring no monotony and constant professional challenges. The company provides a late-model vehicle for surveillance purposes, along with necessary equipment such as video cameras, laptops, tripods, and fuel cards, empowering investigators with the tools required for success. DigiStream also invests heavily in training, offering a professional, hands-on program refined over 25 years, ensuring team members develop both foundational and advanced investigative skills.

Beyond the rewarding nature of the investigative work itself, employees at DigiStream benefit from comprehensive health, dental, vision, and life insurance packages, a 401(k) retirement plan with up to 4% company match, and additional perks like cell phone reimbursement and paid travel to assignment locations. The company fosters a positive team environment with quarterly team-building events and supports career growth through a structured Investigator Promotion Track. Earning potential starts at $21 hourly for entry-level investigators, with frequent overtime and a total annual remuneration ranging between $50,000 and $65,000 or more, thanks to paid commute and travel time. DigiStream's investigators gain valuable experience that can lead to career advancement opportunities in law enforcement agencies, legal professions, security sectors, and investigative journalism.

This career path is an invitation to be part of a professional team dedicated to justice and truth, offering the chance to work independently in the field while enjoying support and development from an established company. Candidates must reside in California and be prepared to work any day of the week, including holidays, and embark on travel assignments, sometimes overnight. This is a unique role for candidates eager to engage in meaningful investigative work with real-world impact.
