Job Description
Brookdale at Home is a leading private duty caregiving agency that operates primarily within Brookdale Senior Living Communities. Recognized by Newsweek in both 2024 and 2025 as one of America's Greatest Workplaces for Diversity, Brookdale is committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive work environment where employees are valued and empowered. Brookdale at Home provides personalized, one-on-one care for seniors, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life while residing in the comfort of their own homes or within community settings. They offer flexible employment options, including full-time, part-time, and PRN positions, accommodating diverse scheduling needs such as second jobs or flexible shifts. Interviews are conducted on the same day to expedite the hiring process, making it convenient for applicants to join the team quickly.
A career as a Private Duty Caregiver with Brookdale at Home involves providing compassionate, non-medical hands-on care that enriches the lives of seniors every day. Caregivers are responsible for a wide range of duties, including companionship, assistance with daily personal care like dressing, bathing, grooming, and transfers, as well as household tasks such as housekeeping and laundry. Additionally, caregivers help with pet care, transportation to doctor's appointments and errands, and medication reminders. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about helping others and want to build meaningful relationships with those they serve. Brookdale supports caregivers in their professional growth through ongoing development programs and offers a full suite of health, life insurance, and retirement benefits, which vary depending on employment status.
The company culture at Brookdale emphasizes respect, dignity, and a commitment to making lives better—not only for the seniors they serve but for caregivers themselves. Employees are given access to wellness programs that nurture overall health and are encouraged to find career advancement opportunities within the organization. For full-time and part-time employees, eligibility for benefits includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, employee assistance programs, and employee discounts, along with referral programs and optional voluntary benefits like ID theft protection and pet insurance. Full-time staff also enjoy paid time off, paid holidays, company-provided life insurance, adoption benefits, disability coverage, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, and tuition reimbursement. Temporary associates may not be benefits eligible but can participate in the company's 401(k) program.
Brookdale values the dedication of veterans, transitioning active duty military personnel, and military spouses, encouraging them to apply. To support employees on their path to U.S. citizenship, Brookdale offers to advance fees for naturalization application costs under certain conditions. The company's inclusive hiring philosophy ensures a welcoming environment where caregivers of all backgrounds can thrive while making a positive impact on the lives of seniors. This role not only offers a paycheck but a fulfilling vocation centered around empathy, community, and care. By joining Brookdale at Home, caregivers become part of a family dedicated to uplifting seniors each day and growing both personally and professionally within a supportive and rewarding environment.
