The role of Private Events Sales & Marketing Manager at Legends Global is a pivotal position in the Sales and Marketing Department, reporting directly to the Director of Sales and Marketing. This full-time, exempt, salaried role requires a dynamic professional responsible for driving private event revenue by developing and executing strategic sales and marketing plans. The manager will focus on cultivating relationships with prospective clients including corporations, community organizations, and social groups, employing a variety of outreach methods such as telephone campaigns, networking, and site tours. This position demands adeptness in preparing and delivering compelling sales presentations, managing event bookings from inquiry to post-event evaluation, and negotiating terms to maximize revenue. Collaboration with internal teams such as Food & Beverage and Catering is essential to enhance ancillary revenue opportunities.

In addition to sales, the role encompasses marketing responsibilities like developing promotional campaigns, coordinating with internal marketing teams for digital and social media content, and maintaining partnerships with local hotels, tourism entities, and vendors to generate leads. The manager is expected to monitor market trends and sales performance to identify growth prospects and contribute to overall event success. Administrative coordination is also a key aspect, ensuring all departments are informed about booking statuses and that client records are meticulously maintained. Participation in regular sales and marketing meetings and taking on event management tasks when necessary further highlights the multifaceted nature of this role.

Compensation for this role is competitive and commensurate with experience, complemented by an attractive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and a 401(k) plan. The job location is onsite at Buddy Holly Hall in Lubbock, Texas, with some flexibility for travel related to business development activities. The position demands an individual who can thrive in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment while demonstrating excellent organizational, negotiation, and leadership skills.
