Job Description

Rhinegeist Brewery is a renowned craft brewery located in Cincinnati, Ohio, celebrated for its innovative beer offerings and vibrant community atmosphere. Established with a passion for quality and creativity, Rhinegeist has grown into a beloved local destination for beer enthusiasts and event organizers alike. The brewery not only excels in brewing exceptional beers but also prides itself on hosting memorable private events and weddings, contributing to Cincinnati's social and cultural scene. Known for its historic location and dynamic event spaces, Rhinegeist Brewery offers a unique blend of industrial charm and modern hospitality, making it an ideal venue for a variety of special occasions.

The Private Events Day of Coordinator (Seasonal) role at Rhinegeist Brewery is an essential position focused on delivering seamless and successful private events, particularly weddings and other significant celebrations. This seasonal contract position is based in Cincinnati, Ohio, and demands a highly organized and personable individual capable of managing multiple aspects of event coordination. The coordinator acts as the primary liaison between clients, vendors, and the internal event team, ensuring all logistical elements from setup to teardown are executed flawlessly. This role involves working closely with the Private Event Manager, supporting event rehearsals, troubleshooting issues on the day of the event, and maintaining detailed records and post-event feedback. The position requires availability primarily on event weekends — Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays — with work hours averaging 10 to 15 hours per weekend. Rhinegeist Brewery offers compensation at a rate of $25.00 per hour for this role.

The ideal candidate for the Private Events Day of Coordinator role will bring at least two years of experience in event planning or coordination, preferably with a background in hospitality or venue management. Strong interpersonal skills are crucial, as the coordinator will need to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, juggling multiple responsibilities simultaneously. The role demands physical stamina, including the ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform physical tasks related to event setup and breakdown. Proficiency with event management software is a plus, and while a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred, Rhinegeist encourages applications from candidates who may not meet every qualification. This is an excellent opportunity for seasonal event professionals who thrive in fast-paced, client-facing environments and are passionate about delivering exceptional event experiences in a unique brewery setting.
