The Private Events Coordinator role at Rhinegeist Brewery is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, hardworking individual to join a growing Private Events team. Reporting to the Director of Private Events and Private Events Manager, the coordinator plays a vital role in the planning, coordination, and execution of unique private events ranging from weddings and corporate meetings to varied other gatherings. This full-time position requires a detail-oriented individual who excels at multitasking, communication, and customer service. The coordinator works directly with clients to deliver an exceptional event planning experience, ensuring seamless execution that meets Rhinegeist's high standards. Responsibilities include managing relationships with clients and vendors, booking and detailing events from start to finish, overseeing bar staff during events, and supporting the department's growth through proactive sales initiatives and community networking. The role also demands staying current with company culture and trends in the beverage and event space, participating in innovative research and development for event concepts, and contributing to the overall goals of the department and Rhinegeist Brewery. Physical demands include handling various materials such as kegs, glassware, tables, and linens, as well as extensive standing, walking, and climbing between event spaces. This role involves flexible working hours including evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays, reflecting the dynamic nature of the events industry. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace is required alongside strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Job Requirements
- 3 years of hospitality experience in event coordination or similar position desired
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays
- Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication both verbal and written
- Exceptional customer service skills required
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure while managing multiple deadlines
- Must be great at multitasking, extremely detail oriented, possess ability to stay organized and manage time well
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace
- High school diploma or equivalent
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 3 years of hospitality experience in event coordination or a similar role
- Strong interpersonal skills

Job Duties
- Coordinate and execute events in collaboration with the Private Events team
- Maintain positive and ongoing relationships with clients and vendors by responding promptly to communications and completing administrative tasks
- Book, detail, and carry out events from inception to completion
- Guide clients through the event planning process and execution stages
- Oversee bar staff during events to ensure excellent performance
- Support departmental growth via sales efforts and community networking
- Research and develop new event concepts and trends aligned with company goals
- Stay updated on Rhinegeist culture, brands, products, and new directions
