The Private Event Sales Director is not only responsible for managing sales but also for leading and developing a sales team with a focus on enhancing the member and guest experience. They will create and execute targeted sales and marketing plans to meet and exceed established revenue goals. The job includes selling a wide range of events such as corporate meetings, weddings, holiday parties, fundraisers, and athletic banquets, catering to diverse client needs. Job Requirements
- College degree preferred or 3 years of related experience in sales preferably in golf, hospitality, service industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- knowledge of how to use social media to drive sales including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest
- proficient in computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel and CRM
- solid time management, organization and prioritization skills with ability to work with little or no direct supervision
- excellent customer service orientation and focus on customer satisfaction
- strong leadership and people skills with ability to build and foster a team environment

Job Duties
- Develop market segments and solicit new customer relationships while maintaining existing relationships
- sell and market to external markets including corporate events, meetings, trainings, wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners, and personal milestone events
- act as an ambassador for the property, fostering relationships with individuals and corporations who book events
- heighten awareness externally within the community from the club to bridal shows, golf shows and other public events
- be a positive role model in social media formats and public forums by being active and consistent in all public facing opportunities
- maximize tournament revenues to meet and exceed sales goals and budgets through the sale of groups of 20 players or more and effective negotiation of tournament product and tee time utilization
- work closely with the Executive Chef when designing custom menus and communicate with the entire management team about upcoming events
- generate a definitive sales and marketing plan to achieve departmental revenue goals which meet and exceed sales goals and budgets
