The Private Event Manager role within The Peninsula Chicago's Catering team is an exciting opportunity for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, high-profile environment. Job Duties

  • Respond to all telephone and walk in inquiries regarding catering/private dining space
  • negotiate with clients and achieve maximum revenue/profit potential while satisfying client needs
  • act as liaison between the client and hotel for all client needs including hotel rooms, catering and events, audio visual, transportation, off-site event recommendations
  • have excellent knowledge of hotel facilities and capacities and dimensions of meeting rooms/private dining space
  • develop creative and attractive menu presentations for potential clients
  • coordinate the sale efforts between the sales department and catering to ensure proper utilization of function space to yield maximum revenue
