Job Description

Marriott International is a globally recognized leader in the hospitality industry, known for its commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences through its diverse portfolio of brands. Among these prestigious brands is St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, renowned for its timeless glamour, vanguard spirit, and unparalleled bespoke service. St. Regis has a rich tradition dating back to the early twentieth century with the debut of The St. Regis hotel in New York by John Jacob Astor IV. Today, it continues to set the standard for luxury hospitality, offering exquisite experiences at over 50 luxury hotels and resorts located in premier destinations around the world.

Located at 401 E Upper Wacker Dr, Chicago, Illinois, the St. Regis Chicago hotel seeks dedicated and professional individuals to join their food and beverage team. This position is full-time, non-management, and offers an hourly wage of $18.98, with the potential to earn tips as well. Employees become benefit eligible after 90 days of employment. The role specifically caters to those comfortable with overnight shifts and values candidates who are flexible, particularly those available to work weekends and holidays.

The position involves serving food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality and professionalism. Candidates will be responsible for setting tables according to the type of event and service standards, responding to guest inquiries regarding menu selections, and effectively communicating with the kitchen staff about menu availability, special dietary needs, allergies, and additional guest requests. Proficiency with the MICROS point-of-sale system will be necessary for recording transactions at the time of order. The role requires consistent guest engagement to assure satisfaction with each course and beverage served.

Maintaining cleanliness of work areas and utensils throughout the shift is a critical duty, as is the completion of closing duties such as restocking and turning off lights. Presenting guests with accurate bills and processing payments is expected, along with adherence to all company safety policies and procedures. The position requires a professional appearance and manner, the ability to communicate clearly and professionally, and the maintenance of confidentiality regarding company information.

This role also emphasizes teamwork, as employees are expected to develop and sustain positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues and support the team in achieving common goals. The physical demands of the job include standing, sitting, walking for extended periods, and handling objects weighing up to 25 pounds independently and heavier with assistance. The candidate must be capable of navigating varying surfaces and performing reasonable additional duties as assigned by supervisory staff.

With a preference for candidates holding a high school diploma or GED equivalent and at least one year of related experience, the St. Regis Chicago hotel fosters a supportive, inclusive work environment that respects diversity and promotes equal opportunity. The hotel provides an enriching benefits package designed to support employees' well-being and career development.

Joining the St. Regis team means becoming part of a global community that values cultural diversity, talent, and the shared goal of delivering an unmatched luxury experience to every guest. It is an invitation to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where personal and professional growth is nurtured. Whether you are starting your career or seeking to advance within the hospitality industry, this role offers a platform to be your best, belong to an inspiring team, and build a fulfilling career in one of the world’s most prestigious hotel brands.
