Job Description

The Glen is a distinguished Life Plan Community with over 125 years of history and dedication to providing an exceptional living experience for its residents. Located in a vibrant and supportive environment, The Glen stands as a beacon in senior living, focusing on a "resident-directed" philosophy that champions individuality, dignity, and purposeful living. The organization emphasizes a nurturing culture where team members and residents build strong relationships, fostering a close-knit community atmosphere. This commitment to connection and personalized service places The Glen at the forefront of senior living communities, blending tradition with innovation to meet the evolving needs of its residents and maintain its vital role within the local community.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Private Dining Room Attendant to join our Culinary Team on an on-call PRN basis. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the dining experience of our new Independent Living community, helping to ensure that every meal service is a positive and memorable occasion for our residents. Working primarily in the afternoons and evenings with a typical shift from 2:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., three to four nights a week including Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays with some flexible scheduling available, this role is ideal for someone passionate about hospitality and dedicated to superior service standards.

As a Private Dining Room Attendant, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality food service under sanitary conditions, following established dietary policies and procedures. Your role will involve greeting guests, presenting menus, informing them about daily specials, and assisting with food and beverage selections. You will take orders using handheld Point of Sale (POS) systems, handle revenue transactions, and ensure guest satisfaction through attentive service. Maintaining a clean and welcoming dining environment, coordinating with kitchen staff for seamless operations, and fulfilling any additional requests promptly will be essential for success in this role. A familiarity with basic cooking skills such as salad preparation and dessert plating is highly valued, along with strong communication and customer service abilities.

The Glen offers a competitive compensation package including attractive pay rates and a 403(b) Retirement Plan, supporting your long-term financial well-being. This role not only provides a meaningful employment experience within a respected and established community but also the chance to be part of a team that values connection, excellence, and the enrichment of life for its residents. If you have the skills and passion to enhance dining experiences in a high-energy, dynamic setting, The Glen invites you to apply and become a vital part of our Culinary Team.
