Job Description
Our client is a highly distinguished professional athlete preparing for the 2026 NFL season in the Boston area. This opportunity is with a leading private service provider specializing in catering to the unique culinary and lifestyle needs of high-profile clients. The company is well-known for delivering personalized, premium chef services that combine culinary expertise with rigorous dietary precision, adhering to the strict regimens mandated by nutritionists and tailored chef consultations. This role is based in Milton, MA, requiring the chef to provide daily in-person service, combining detailed meal preparation with specialized household assistance.
The Private Chef position offers a unique blend of culinary skill and client-focused service, supporting not only the athlete's nutritional goals but also the dietary needs of his wife and two young children. The chef will be engaged full-time from July 20, 2026, to February 15, 2027, encompassing the athlete's training camp and entire NFL season. The service schedule requires availability six days a week, typically with Sundays off, adaptable based on game days occurring on Mondays or Thursdays. The chef must be flexible, punctual, and detail-oriented, managing meal preparation from breakfast to dinner. Morning responsibilities often include preparing breakfast and packing school lunches for the family, followed by hot plated lunches for the athlete post-training. Dinners are generally prepared in advance with occasional plated service, ensuring every meal aligns with strict macro calculations as prescribed by the athlete's nutritionist.
Beyond cooking, the chef will assist with household management duties such as receiving packages, managing entry for visitors, and attending to the family dogs, contributing to a harmonious household atmosphere. This requires a warm, personable demeanor and the ability to build rapport with the family members, including engaging with the children through thoughtful gestures and activities. The role demands an individual who thrives in a private, sometimes high-pressure environment, maintaining confidentiality and a professional presence at all times.
As part of the team, the chef will also manage travel logistics for away games by packaging, labeling, and preparing meals to be sent on dry ice to the dietitian at training facilities, ensuring seamless nutrition support regardless of location. Detailed planning aligned with the NFL game schedule enables proactive preparation and delivery coordination. Compensation is set at a per diem rate of $325, encompassing all services rendered, travel expenses within the service scope, and the high level of responsiveness required. The position starts as a project-based independent contractor role with the potential for full-time employment throughout the NFL season. Key prerequisites include a valid driver's license, background check, NDA, and confidentiality agreements, reflecting the trust and professionalism integral to this engagement.
