This opportunity is with a unique private chef role for a small family located just outside of Pittsburgh. The family places great value on quality of life and seeks a chef who shares their appreciation for excellent food, consistency, and thoughtful execution. While this position offers limited creative freedom compared to more traditional culinary roles, it provides a reliable work schedule that emphasizes balance and wellness, with a five-day workweek and forty-hour workweeks, typically meaning no late nights or weekends. This role is ideal for chefs who want to transition from high-pressure restaurant or hotel environments into private cheffing, where the focus is more on quality than on constant innovation or change.
The family sources ingredients directly from their own farm, which includes diverse produce, an apiary, and livestock. This farm-to-table aspect allows the chef to work with fresh, high-quality ingredients daily, fostering a connection to the food that goes beyond the plate. The role requires someone who can impeccably execute meals using these exceptional products while maintaining a consistent quality standard. The position requires strong culinary skills and a commitment to excellence but is less about culinary creativity and more about honoring tradition and quality in each dish.

Job Requirements
