Raytheon Technologies is a prominent defense and aerospace company with over a century of experience in engineering and technology. The organization is committed to the mission of protecting national security and strengthening the defense capabilities of the United States and its allies. With a global reputation for cutting-edge innovation and technical expertise, Raytheon is a leader in providing advanced solutions for modern mission challenges. Located in Tucson, Arizona, the Test Equipment Engineering (TEE) team is part of Raytheon's Specialty Engineering Directorate, a multidisciplinary group dedicated to creating advanced Windows application solutions that support the entire product lifecycle of weapon systems. The team’s work spans from initial engineering demonstrations through design verification, production, and ongoing sustainment, ensuring continuous improvement and operational readiness of defense products.

This role is a full-time onsite position based in Tucson, Arizona, focused on the design, development, integration, and maintenance of software supporting on-site factory systems related to weapon system product development. The candidate will be involved in the development of software applications, libraries, and instrument drivers using specified software styles, programming languages, and integrated development environments. Working hands-on, the selected software engineer will contribute to multidisciplinary teams throughout all phases of product development, emphasizing both engineering and production equipment solutions. Responsibilities will include designing and implementing system-level applications that enable the production and sustainment of sophisticated defense products.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software engineering, particularly in C++, C#, and Windows operating system environments, utilizing tools such as Microsoft Visual Studio. A proficient understanding of software debugging, instrumentation troubleshooting, and test equipment software integration is essential. In addition to hands-on coding, this position expects the engineer to mentor junior team members and lead collaborative efforts within the team.

Candidates must hold an active and transferable U.S. government security clearance at a Secret level and be U.S. citizens eligible for the clearance. The salary range for this position is competitive, between $107,500 and $204,500, reflecting experience and qualifications. Raytheon offers an extensive benefits package including healthcare, retirement plans, flexible scheduling, educational assistance, and parental leave, emphasizing a supportive and inclusive work environment tailored to foster career growth and personal well-being.

Joining Raytheon Technologies means contributing to a company dedicated to innovation, integrity, and defending freedom globally, making impactful contributions to the security of the nation.
