Job Requirements

- 7+ years of industrial/applied research experience for PhD holders
- 8+ years of industrial/applied research for master’s degree holders
- 10+ years of industrial/applied research for bachelor’s degree holders

Job Qualifications
- University graduate with MS or PhD in food science, sensory evaluation, sensory science, psychology, consumer science, marketing research, nutrition or statistics
- bachelor's degree with 10+ years of industrial/applied research experience
- master’s degree with 8+ years of industrial/applied research experience
- Ph.D. with 7+ years of industrial/applied research experience
- subject matter expert in consumer, sensory, and market research techniques across innovation lifecycle
- expert knowledge of sensory perception including discrimination testing, descriptive analysis, consumer methods, methods development, statistics, design of experiments, panel recruitment and maintenance
- strong track record of innovation in consumer-packaged goods and foodservice
- ability to drive organizational change and foster innovation culture
- senior-level sensory leadership within R&D innovation teams
- strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- excellent communication and presentation abilities
- experience working with global and remote teams
- strong business results orientation
- expertise with digital sensory and market research tools and statistical software
Job Duties
- Serve as a trusted advisor and recognized consumer and sensory expert to lead complex, strategic projects
- cultivate foundational knowledge to accelerate understanding of ingredients, processes, products, packaging, and consumers
- utilize mastership of foundational and advanced design of experiment techniques to enhance innovation impact, efficiency and agility
- design consumer research framework for innovation opportunities and execute consumer and sensory research
- build and enhance functional capabilities and ensure execution of global consumer centric sensory programs
- ensure mastership and utilization of internal sensory discrimination panels
- develop panel performance KPIs
- mentor associates within sensory and R&D teams and conduct training
- drive cross-functional collaboration with RIC CoEs, Marketing, Insights, Finance and Supply Chain
- create and recommend Sensory IP strategy and roadmap for AI modeling capabilities
- represent company with external vendors, suppliers, universities and agencies
- perform related responsibilities to support business objectives
