The F-35 Modification Upgrade and Overhaul (MUO) Principal Production Planning and Scheduler is a critical role embedded within the Lockheed Martin MUO team and involves collaboration among several industry partners including Northrop Grumman. This position focuses on the management and scheduling of modification and retrofit tasks associated with engineering changes for the F-35 program. The planner and scheduler will be responsible for analyzing Initial Retrofit Plans to develop and maintain project milestones that ensure the successful completion of modification events. Acting within the F-35 Planning & Integration organization, the role requires effective coordination with project managers, engineers, supply teams, planners, and leadership to guarantee program objectives are met on time and within scope. This position demands strong project management skills covering the full lifecycle, from planning to execution and reporting.

As a Principal Production Planner and Scheduler, you will be tasked with developing briefs on modification status, conducting project reviews, planning modification events, and creating detailed modification work packages. You will assist in requirements development, compile and distribute operational reports and performance deliverables, and provide technical support to field maintenance teams during verification and proofing activities. The role requires a strong work ethic, initiative, the ability to work flexible hours including overtime, and occasional travel up to 10% of the time. Candidates may be staffed as either a Level 2 or Level 3 Planner and Scheduler, with corresponding experience and educational requirements. This role demands U.S. citizenship, a current government Secret Clearance or higher, and the ability to obtain Special Access Program clearance if necessary.

The salary range for this role varies by level, with Level 2 ranging from $65,800 to $98,800 and Level 3 ranging from $81,800 to $122,600 annually. Compensation also may include overtime pay, shift differentials, and discretionary bonuses, as well as long-term incentives for certain senior positions.
