As a subsidiary of Amazon, Prime Video stands out for its exclusive content, including Amazon MGM Studios-produced series and movies, licensed popular fan favorites, and additional programming available through Prime Video add-ons such as Apple TV+, Max, Crunchyroll, and MGM+. The platform caters to all customers, whether or not they hold a Prime membership, by providing options to rent or buy titles via the Prime Video Store, as well as offering free content with ads. This highly innovative entertainment service continues to expand its global presence, reaching audiences in over 250 countries, delivering a world-class content-watching experience across hundreds of devices, from mobile phones to living room televisions.
The role offered is a pivotal position within Prime Video's technology team, designed for dynamic and driven product leaders who want to shape the future of digital video entertainment. As a Prime Video technologist, you will have end-to-end ownership of the product, encompassing user experience, design, technology, and business strategy necessary to deliver state-of-the-art streaming experiences for millions of customers worldwide. This position is ideal for professionals who thrive in fast-paced, challenging environments and are passionate about innovation and customer-focused product development.
In this role, you will work closely with a variety of cross-functional teams, including applied scientists, software engineers, project managers, designers, business development, legal, marketing, finance, customer service, and content acquisition experts. You will develop a deep understanding of Prime Video's customers by leading voice of customer programs to inform product decisions, as well as by analyzing market segments and tracking emerging industry trends to maintain a competitive edge.
Your responsibilities will involve defining the product vision and strategy, creating and executing a comprehensive product roadmap, and driving the delivery of new features and products that enhance the customer experience across multiple devices. You will also be responsible for detailed product requirements documentation and leading technical discussions to inform technology decisions and roadmap strategy. The role requires a hands-on leader who is resourceful, highly analytical, and comfortable presenting to and influencing senior leadership and stakeholders. This is an opportunity to contribute to a global entertainment platform used daily by millions, helping to define innovative products that set the standard in digital video streaming.
The role is based in Seattle, Washington, with a competitive base salary ranging from $179,900 to $243,400 annually. In addition to financial compensation, the role offers sign-on bonuses and Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). Amazon provides a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage; basic and supplemental life insurance; employee assistance programs; mental health support; flexible spending accounts; adoption and surrogacy reimbursement programs; 401(k) matching; paid time off; and parental leave. Amazon is committed to fostering an inclusive culture where diversity is celebrated, and all employees have the support needed to succeed. Special accommodations are available during the application and hiring processes to ensure an equitable candidate experience.
